Because nitrogen is inert and inflammable, it is the preferred gas for underbalanced drilling. The most common practice is to drill with straight dry nitrogen instead of compressed air or misted compressed air. Drilling with straight dry nitrogen can reduce total well cost by eliminating concerns about down hole fires or explosions, increasing penetration rates, improving bit life, reducing the number of drill string trips, reducing or eliminating corrosion, and improving safety.
Our Nitrogen Generator Units has capabilities to supply nitrogen at purities of 90% – 99% with a wide range of flows ranging from 500 scfm – 1,800 scfm at pressures from 300 psig – 5000 psig. Our unit is certified zone 2 for offshore operations.
We also can provide oil-free compressors for air drilling application. Our air compressors have capabilities to supply clean air with a wide range of flows ranging from 1000 acfm – 5,000 acfm at pressures 5000 psig. Our compressors are built in ISO Framed 20ft container for onshore and offshore operations.
